Cuplock Scaffolding System
Kawasaki Scaffolding is a leading manufacturer and supplier of cuplock scaffolding. If you have any questions about our cup-lock scaffolding system, please contact us.
The unique node connection design allows up to four horizontal sections to be connected to a single vertical section at once, without the need for nuts, bolts, or wedges. The locking mechanism consists of two cups: a fixed bottom cup welded to the vertical pipe at predetermined intervals, and a sliding top cup. The blade ends of the crossbar rest in the bottom cup, and the top cup is moved downward to secure it in place.

What is a cuplock system?
Scaffolding is a temporary structure used for building support and erection. It is also known as a scaffold. Durability is crucial for building safety.
Cuplock scaffolding is a type of scaffolding. Compared to traditional tubular and coupler scaffolding, cup-lock scaffolding is a modular scaffolding system consisting of systematic steel components and parts. These prefabricated cup-lock parts are welded with locking joints. The standard configuration of cup-lock scaffolding is a welded bottom cup-lock. This allows four components (such as beams) to be connected in four directions. A standard top cup-lock secures the components in place. The joint connections can be securely fastened with a hammer.
Features of cuplock scaffolding
What benefits can cup lock scaffolding bring to workers and engineering projects?
Easy to use
The cup-shaped scaffolding has a self-locking function, which allows workers to connect it into shape with a hammer. It is very simple and convenient to set up and dismantle, which can reduce the risk of misoperation during installation.
Construction safety
The cup-type scaffolding is constructed from 3.2mm S355 steel. The high yield strength and tensile strength of the steel ensure its high load capacity. Standardized installation locations for anti-fall nets, guardrails, and scaffolding boards enhance the safety margins of the construction site.
Flexible application
The cuplock scaffolding system can build scaffolds and scaffolds of various shapes, meeting construction needs that are difficult to build with traditional scaffolding. The cup-lock scaffolding is equipped with a cup-lock cantilever frame and brackets, which can easily support concrete slabs and beams even outside the main scaffolding frame.
Easy to operate
The bowl-type scaffolding is made of high-quality steel, yet is lighter. Compared to traditional Type 4 scaffolding tubes, it is 20% lighter. It is easy to carry during construction, and the quick-locking mechanism reduces tightening time and reduces hand strain.

Step to Build Cuplock Scaffolding System
- Place Cuplock Scaffold Base Plate At Required Positions
- Put Cuplock Standards On Each Base Plate
- Fix Cuplock Ledgers Between Cuplock Standards
- Using Spirit Level Tools Measure Levelness of Cuplock Ledgers
- Adjustable Base Jack Handle to Ensure 1st Layer of Cuplock Ledgers Horizontally At Same Level
- Measure Squareness of the Cuplock Bays to Ensure the 1st Layer Cuplock Horizontals’ Levelness
- Use Top Cups to Lock Cuplock Ledgers Blades
- Put Cuplock Steel Planks On Cuplock Ledgers to Form A Scaffold Decks
- Build Cuplock Tower By Erecting More Cuplock Standards at Vertical Direction and Fix Between Cuplock Standards By Ledger Parts
- Put Cuplock Diagonal Braces and Horizontal Braces On To Ensure Cuplock Scaffold Tower Stabilizing and Safe.
